Hi, Was wondering if anybody has tried the Double Happiness brand? I was particularly interested in the '402' shuttlecock. The current line of DHS shuttles is not good. The 402 is not a good shuttle. It doesn't fly well nor is it at all durable. I smashed a few moderately and the corked deformed or broke. A few others, the feather separated from the cork. The 301 is much better but still below average. Flight is inconsistent and the durability marginal The 201 is marginal to average. Flight is OK to good but durability is marginal to average. If you purchased DHS 301 and 201 from over a year ago, they were pretty decent.
How about the 101 DHS shuttlecocks? Any feedback? Its supposedly IBF approved but I don't see any DHS on the list of IBF-approved equipment. I thought that DHS being the supplier of RSL, Wilson and Aeroplane, their dhuttles woufl be at par. Its a bit confusing and puzzling. I'm still waiting for my Top VS3000 order.
I never tried the DHS 101 which was supposedly IBF Approved. A few products go on and off the IBF Approved list over the years and/or expires.

Personlly I like the DHS 101 shuttlecock. From the packaging, it says its IBF approved. Durability and flight is excellent, doesn't break that easily even when there is a mis-hit. One bird usually lasts up to 3 - 4 games, usually the bird slows down after the latter sets for us to replace the shuttlecock. I find the DHS 201 acceptable enough. I think it is comparable to aeroplane's green label. durability and flight is acceptable. Usually its DHS 302 that is used in our local club as players tend to buy the cheaper shuttlecocks. Flight is nice downside is the durability of the feathers. Cork improved from the previous batches used.
If I remember correctly, based on dhs' website (nowadays its down), the 101 shuttle uses duck feathers? For those who know, is this the reason (use of duck feather) why this shuttle is not IBf approved anymore?
Yep, the 101 is goose; at least it should be. If it's not IBF Approved anymore, it's because the IBF Approval expired and DHS choose not to renew.
Revieving a bit, but added a tadbit of information to the list. Double Happiness 402 (Court): Type: Goose Feather (listed as for outdoors play on the website???) Impression. The bird has a weird design, the feathers make a wavy swirl which my coach pointed out as being a sign of poor quality feathers. When hitting it the bird feels as if a feather was sticking out (too much resistence). Upon breaking off 1/4 of the feathers, the bird flew better. Correct speed and almost correct flight, but the durabilty isn't there. The bird is also very poor in terms of stability, so no netplay with these. Overall: Don't bother with this bird, not worth the energy to pick the tube up. Grade: D
double happiness 402 is the one that ppl use to play in backcourt.No one here will use this if they wanna play "seriously",unless they're only playing around.
