    Greetings,

This year 2006, we get so many threads on "Why Player X win/lose".

Yes, when we ask the "WHY", we are talking about the mental state and/or the personality of a player.

But I should think that most members@BC are more interested in the "HOW", because we are then talking about the skill and/or the physical performance of a player.

May more threads on "How Player X win/lose" appear in our forum?

    Cheers... chris@ccc

At first I was a bit irritated, feeling the threads were getting really silly. Now, they are just comedy relief. :p

China Open MS Final 2006: BCL Vs CH

    Greetings,

I think BCL's skills can match up with CH's. Many people said that he did not attack enough in the FINAL.

It's unfortunate that BCL had had a tough semi-final match against LD before the FINAL... therefore, I think the sequence of match play is so important. His stamina/energy has been drained before the FINAL.

Better Luck in the Match Draw for BCL for his next match.:);)

    Cheers... chris@ccc

i think ur assessment of bcl is incorrect. It was chen hong that look more tired. At 6-6 of first game, CH had both hands resting on his knees, taking deep breaths, looking tired already. If CH lost the 2nd game, i think BCL would take the rubba. In the play by play narration thread, http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37333&page=12 (post 110 and 115) i've said if CH to win, he must win it in 2 games.

BCL was not drained by previous LD dual. BCL plays like BCL style from the start. BCL didnt change his strategy since his previous lost against CH. To refresh your memory, CH beat BCL in 2005 china open MS final, 15-12, 8-15, 15-9. The winning shot was a smash, to the side, just like in CH's 2006 win.

..can't post print screen image :(
I was gonna show that the match point winning shot by CH against BCL is identifical in both 2005 and 2006 china open, straight smash to BCL forehand side.

whether it's how or why xx lost threads, this is a positive reflection of badminton, not negative. It shows that more interest is shown in badminton, and international badminton scene. Good thing the moderators have good common sense and didn't curtail any of these threads. We often talk about how other mainstream sports are so popular and not badminton. Well, we are progressing, don't stop it:p:)

China Open 2006 MS: CH beat BCL

    Hi cooler,

Perhaps CH was more tired than BCL.

BCL being younger, did not take advantage of his youth and vigour to play CH.

It was unlucky that BCL not win the second game. But CH's skill is still good, and we must acknowledge it.

Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS TO CH to win again.

    Cheers... chris@ccc
