Have anyone seen this type of rackets before? It weighs same or heavier than a squash racket but it is actually a badminton racket. Some of the players use it to train the wrist.
Please do a search on training rackets. This has been discussed many times. You can also just go to your local sporting goods shop and purchase a stainless steel racket. These will weigh anywhere from 120 to 150grams. I have one 150gram, I use it for practice games. I also have a 200 gram squash racket for training.
doesnt uber heavy racquets hurt ur wrist like crazy if u smash or sumthing? well im really noobie but no as noobie to well... noobs but i used my coach's heavy yonex iso 52 mf and its really heavy and i found that it kinda hurts ur wrist when u smash. im thinking it might hav sumthing to do w/ grip but when i use my iso 75 mf light my whole dont hurt at all when i smash yeah w/e that felt like a rant but should u really train w/ a heavy racquet for strength and everything?
u don't have to use them to play a game, u can use them to practice executing strokes. try to use more wrist and let your elbow stay stationary
When doing shadowing exercises, I use my dad's tennis raquet for this purpose. I do it slowly coz at one time it hurt my wrist and my shoulder and I wasn't able to play for a month. now i can swing it like a badminton racquet and this is effective for me when i do this a day before a scheduled game.
