45 male, newbie, average size 180lbs I have only used 2 rackets in my life, both have no name on them. {stop LOL LOL please}. In using just these two rackets I have discovered that I do not like a flexable racket. It seems that my swing and timing are such that when I swing quick at the birdie with a flexable racket my timing is very much off. When I have used the stiffer racket my timing is better. My question is,,,,,,, is it possible to get a racket that is to stiff? Thank you for any help/comments.
Certainly is possible, if your getting there you will find a great reduction in the power of your shots. Generally the very stiff racquets are aimed at the top end and extremely expensive.
Everyone has his/her own comfortable range regarding to shaft stiffness. Going out of the range (either way) will make you suffer lost in your performance. Try to demo the racket, before purchase, and stick with the one you feel comfortable with.
