I would like to seek advice on how I can check whether my strings require restringing. How do I know whether the strings are no longer in good palying condition?

Ok, I've nv snapped my strings at all but I can really feel that my strings are wearing off. But is there a proper way of determining? Like when the strings start to shift off course after a few shots.

there is no proper way to know unless your strings snap or you feel your tensions dropped too low (you should have snapped your strings by then). if you feel that you need a restring then go restring, thats the best way. btw i think you use bg 80 correct? those strings are awesome at holding tension and play well to the last shot :D i think you shouldn't waste them and just play hard with them untill they snap.;)

Besides when string is snap, there's no general rule about when you should re-string. It's down to your own feeling and wallet, see whether you think it's time for a change. ;)

Either when it breaks or when the strings move excessively during play.
