HI, just got a ns9000X from ebay. The racket looks real good, one thing I am not too sure if it's fake is that the "yy yonex" letters on the flat sides of the cone looks like they are silver color stickers. I looked at my older yonex rackets, the "yy yonex" letters are always painted on the cone. Can anyone verify what the real one suppose to be? or post a picture? thanks

Can you post pics of your racket? Please including the shaft/cone serials as well.

but I can't tell by looking at the condition of your racket =/
Who did you buy it from? (eBay accnt)
if it's Sumai03 its 100% real, if not, post it here

I prefer not to post any name here, the seller assured me it's genuine. However, given that this is yonex top of the line racket, the "yy yonex" letters are stick on labels does not give me any good feeling about it's authenticity. Like I mentioned earlier, all my other yonex rackets, including the most recent armortec 800 Off, the letters are all painted on the cone. Anyone with a NS9000 wants to chime in?

From your pictures, the cone looks black... I believe the cone color of a genuine NS9000X is blueish, no? One more thing I noticed is that from your pictures the numbers in the serials appear to be rather close together. I looked at the all the serials on my rackets and the numbers appear to have more space between them.

it looks fake...the serial code seems wrong for the date and the engraved serials doesn't look like the real genuine yonex racquets

not only that but the engraved numbers look wrong, they don't look like the ones from genuine racquets.

yes it is bluish, it'd due to lighting condition. Still no one has a ns9000 to comment on whether it should be painted text or sticker text.

Fake, the serials are too small.
There is no way this is a genuine racket.

FYI, I have seen a fake 9000k at Malaysia.

Is quite easy to differentiate it because :-
    1. the shaft is not stiff enough.
    2. The alphabet O (Y"O"NEX) is quite weird.
    3. I have not seen the sunrire hologram sticker in sparkling red color, it suppose to be in Gold color.
    4. The wording "SP" is smaller compare to the genuine one.(the SP wording is at standard size for all the yonex series, I mean from Ti, MP, AT and NS)

So, I think the racquet you bought from ebay is fake one. SORRY TO SAY THAT.

it's ok, lesson learned, I won't sweat at it. You are right, the shaft feels soft compared to the armortec 800 off.

$99 plus $19 shipping so it's around $120. The thing is, the guy is in Atlanta GA, I would have thought no one dares to sell counterfeit here because it's a federal crime and potentially carries federal prison terms. do a search, the listing is still going on. I know, price it too good to be real. He guarantees its authenticity or money back. We'll see what happens.

Lesson learned in a painful way, I suppose.

Well, guess you need to contact him and claim the refund now. Hope he's not too tough, and you can get your $$$ back.

Don't panic yet. The racket may well be genuine. The serial looks lazer engraved to me (the pic on the seller's site doesn't). But only you can tell up close whether the whiteness of the serial is paint, or remnent of lazer incineration of racket material. Also The PBSI label looks in order. If you do a pic on the butt cap, the T-Joint logo, as well as the grommet layout on either side of the T-Joint, these may yet reveal more about the racket.

Gurantees offered by the seller, ebay, or paypal ain't worth didley squat. To save the hassle, it is best to use a shop that takes credit cards, and to let your card issuer protect you. Even if you end up with a genuine racket, the extra worry isn't worth the money saved, and you may not be so lucky next time.
