Hello all, I just came along and saw this forum, so I decided to say hi!

Anyways, I'm going to introduce myself.

I am in Grade 8 attending Secondary School in Vancouver, B.C, Canada. I am currently a member of the Bantam Badminton Team (Gr.8 is Bantam, Gr.9-10 is Junior, and the rest is Senior).

I really enjoy playing badminton, almost addicted. (Yeah right, lol)

I wouldn't say that I am very good. Compared to other people I might be pretty average (to make it into the team) but I'm definitely not that good. It's kind of between "Great for an 8th grader" and "Of normal skill for an 8th grader".

I started playing badminton about 3-4 months ago. That's why I'm virtually the worst guy on my team. Except for maybe 1 or 2 others. There is another member with the word "newbie" in his name, which also goes to my school and is a member of the team.

    Well here I am.

    "Hi".

Hey, that's awesome. I only started playing badminton for real (before that, it had just been recreational) at the end of 8th grade myself. I wasn't very good when I started on my team either had some troubles at first. But after you start playing for a longer time, not only will you get the techniques, stamina, speed, and other skills down, you'll have experience and overcome nervousness, etc.

ANyways, welcome to BC! Hope you can improve a lot from the stuff here and get better! Maybe you'll be captain someday:D

Hi... I'm new too..... Just visiting San Francisco for a couple of months, brought my gear hoping to get a chance to play here.... I would like to know if there are places nearer to the downtown area where I can play badminton.... Menlo Park, and South SF High is just way too far for me to go.... unless there's car pooling ..... am willing to share gas expense

    Thanks..........

Nope. I go to Killarney Secondary. You go to Windermere? We're playing them in the playoffs tomorrow!

We haven't lost a single game yet... pretty crazy.

On a side note, we beat Windermere 10-1 in the regular season...

    Anyways, ya. Hi.

You guys have playoffs at this time of year? In California, around my area, we don't start season till spring...Guess it's different up there in the north. Good luck, cause my school has a terrible record.:p

Um, yeah. It's like this for the regular season. (It's pretty short..)

You must win at least 3 games losing a maximum of 1 game to make the playoffs.

We won 4 and lost 0.

Now tomorrow, Windermere will come to our school, Killarney, to play the first game of the playoffs. If we win, we will play again the next day. Something like that.
