    Hi all

    I have an AT800 Offensive 4U and Nano Speed 9000X 2U
So which string do you recommend for each string and tension
I am a beginner and want more powerful smash and control

Thank you very much in advance for all the info you provide

Currently I strung my racket AT800-O 4U with BG75-Ti@24 LB (I used this one for few months now and found out I lost the tension)
And Nano Speed 9000X 2U with BG80@26 LB (This one I just bought it. Haven’t try it out yet)

Agree, especially the 2U 9000-X, that's one very demanding racket.

I agree with you guys. I got the 2U 9000-X because I want to improve my skills and learn how to handle that racket become to one of the aggressive player:)

oh common guys, lets not confuse this poor person. Just in case you didn't realised they're joking, do not string at 14 or 33lbs.

If you're a beginner, I'd suggest ~20x22lbs with BG66 or BG68Ti for more power, or 23x25lbs with BG85 for more control

No joke at all. Our friend should try out CD's stringing method by taking out two main strings from each side and two cross strings from the top and bottom. The racquet will guarantee to produce awesome power and squash fly like no tomorrow. :D joking of course

    thanks for the info 'jsunsun'
    I said I am a beginner(I don't really mean THAT BEGINNER)
If I rate myself, I will rate a little bit blow the average player plus I am improving myself a lot day by day with my two topline racquets
just haven't try different strings yet so wonder whichone should I get when I restring them in the near future:)
'jsunsun' gave me some idea. I think I will restring my AT800-O with BG66@24-26LB later on

Of course! No jokes. I am not going to sting my racquets @ 30LB or above. No way! Most likely from 24-27LB to both of my racquets.
I haven’t have a chance to try the BG66, BG85 and BG68Ti so I just need some your opinions on these string
Look at the Yonex string chart, I couldn’t decide which one is the best choice.
    That’s all

BG66 (at same tension, this string will feel tighter) has a very crisp explosing feel. though it's easy to break, so if you're a strong player that misshit often, this string will snap on your in no time. But if you dont' hit too hard, or almost always hit the sweet spot, the lack of durability won't be much of a concern.

bg68ti also not much durability, but probably slightly more durable than BG66. it's a softer string so doesn't feel as crip as BG66, but is very "bouncy" so has high repulsion power.

BG85, yet another not very durable string, but the most durable among these 3. Has a similar crisp feel compared to BG66, but not as powerful as BG66.

Another one I'd suggest in a more durable type would be BG80. Has similar power as BG85, but more durable.

    Here's how I'd rate them(from personal experience):

    BG66
    power -10
    control -9
    durability -5
ability to maintain tension over time -5

    BG68ti
    power -9.99
    control -6
    durability -6
ability to maintain tension over time -6

    BG85
    power -9
    control -9.5
    durability -7
ability to maintain tension over time -7

    BG80
    power -9
    control -8
    durability -9
ability to maintain tension over time -8

Just a side note :) Don't forget about Ashaway strings. Recently I started using PG-65 (Ashaway Power Gut 65 which are 0.70, they have a thinner PG-66 at 0.66), and they have some SERIOUS power. And very durable from experience (already lasted longer than my previous Yonex string and not even a fray). My previous string was BG-66 and after trying the PG-65, I was really impressed. Only complaint, not as much control at the net. But I am used to it now. Also took me a while to tame the beast and stop hitting 1-2 feet past baseline on my clear.

Side note #2. That's $500+ worth of rackets you got there :) Please tell me not from eBay. I just got burned on a AT-800 recently, got my money back thankfully.

Outrageous, I don't use no such tensions ! My current match capable racket is at 15.5lbs. More specific tension data is not available for disclosure.

You must be quite an advanced beginner. I strung 27lbs for the best player in my club who plays county level. A week later, he came to me with another racket and said: I need lower tension, give me 26lbs. More recently my match partner, who is an ex-national player, broke his string and said: I like the way you play, can I have your tension ? So, I said, don't be silly, let me do you 18lbs. Of course he was very pleased with how 18lbs played. Then after a match last night, he looked in my bag and asked: how many rackets you have ? Of course, I will not sell him any.

Outrageous? 14/16 = ~15lbs. Very close to your "match capable" tension. If 0.5lbs. is outrageous what would 17/19lbs. be? Ludicrous?
