Hi out there! I'm a 30 something guy. Just started back badminton few weeks ago with my colleagues. My present racquet was a gift 15 years ago. Yonex but dunno what model? I'm planning to get a better one but my knowleadge of racquet stopped at those "Blacken" "Carbonex 8" dynasty. And also get one for my wife as well and she's a beginner. Here's some details of me, hope you guys can introduce which one suits me. Thx! 1) I play double coz too fat to run around n no stamina. 2) I like to smashing hard and trick opponents. I can say that I'm quite powerful. 3) I started badminton since primary school and stop playing about 7 years ago. Represented house team during secondary school. 4) My budget around RM150 each. 5) I don't mind to get a second hand quality racquet.
Hi there, There a few shops in KL and PJ that are good.Where do you stay by the way. At least from there i can tell you where to get one.I do have a racquet for sale if you are intrested in.
Pertama Complex! That's the sure answer you'll receive from Malaysian BFers.. so I may as beat them all to it. Details I can't help you.. lol. Never been there before. Perhaps some Malaysians can help out here?
it's just across the road from sogo, can't remember the name of the road itself, but if you make your way to sogo and stand at the main entrance, you should be able to see it.
Hmm i need to visit this pertama complex one day.Everyone is telling me to go there. How good is that place???
i think you'll find the prices there are amongst the most competitive in malaysia. of course, it's still about 20% higher than what you would get in singapore.
I haven't really bought racquets from pertama komplex.I normally buy it from megah or a shop in damansara jaya. I should pay a visit.
The racquets are cheaper in Singapore?? I never knew that.. going to Singapore for a few days in Dec.. maybe should get a racquet then..
yup, most definitely. check this thread out ... http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15401&page=42 ... for some of the prices and places where you can get them in singapore. the difference in price is shocking!
Thanx guys! So pertama will be. Any racquet recommend? Yesterday do some research at Jusco. Find out most of those lighter racquet in RM250 to RM300 range. How about Yonex musclepower 66? Good eh! Roughly how much?
Thanx! Usually they free a bag or a cover? What string and string strenght recommend for a guy like me?
i'm not sure the 66 is a good racquet if you're more of a smashing player. don't limit yourself to yonex just because of your budget, there are plenty of good racquets out there which are relatively cheaper.
