    Thanks for the updates

I think INA is trying to build several XD pairs based on the players they have in MD and WD. Frans/Nitya; Lingga/Devi Tika; and Tantowi/Yulianti have been involved in the Singapore and Surabaya Satellites a few mths back.

So, it's probable that they have split Lingga/Yulianti Devi Tika looks like a promising WD and XD player (like Gresya Polii maybe?) As usual, Sandy can chip in with his extensive knowledge of the Indo junior players

There are some good wins by these back-up pairs today. Lingga/Devi Tika Permatasari have beaten the Korean pair Chung Eui Seok/Hong Soo Jung. They will also face a tough opponent in Lim Khim Wah(also a current World Junior semi-finalist, with Mak Hee Chun)/Amelia Alicia Ancelly tomorrow.

The second seed in the XD Tan Bin Shen/Ooi Yu Hang has been beaten too by another Jap pair

In the WS, the only Pelatnas player Aprillia Yuswandari lost to Gu Juan in two tight sets 19-21, 18-21

The club players have better luck today. Two promising juniors: Sylvinna Kurniawan and Bellaetrix Manuputty have progressed also after tight victories over their opponents. Sylvinna will face Jang Soo Young tomorrow and it's likely that her progress will be stopped. Bella has a chance to go further if she can beat the Malaysian player Anita Raj Kaur.

The other ex-Pelatnas player who will probably cruise through the quarter-final is Yuan Kartika Putri. She impressed in her easy victory over the seeded Singaporean player Fu Mingtian. She should beat Chang Ya Lan tomorrow. The last INA player competing tomorrow is Melicia Kurniawan. She was pushed to 3 sets by Ooi Swee Wenn 21-18, 18-21, 21-18. She will face another Malaysian Sannatasah Saniru tomorrow.

All the Pelatnas pairs in MD have safely passed their first test.

The most impressive win is perhaps by Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan, who beat the 5/8 seed Goh Ying Jin/Mohd Razif Abdul Rahman 21-12, 21-17. They will face Mohd Nazree Latifi/Mohd Hashim tomorrow.

The second seed Yoga Ukikasah/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki didn't break a sweat as their opponent didn't show today. They face a tricky tie against Lim Chen Wet/Ng Kean Kok tomorrow.

The 3/4 seed Rendra Wijaya/Frans Kurniawan also progressed after their 20-mins 21-19, 21-16 victory over Terry Yeo/Thng Boon Seong. They will entertain the Korean pair Kim Young Sun/Chung Eui Seok.

As for club pairs, only the veteran pair Bambang Suprianto/Tri Kusharyanto progressed to the second round. They won 2 matches today, including the first round 21-9, 21-12 victory over a Malaysian junior pair of Chan Kwong Beng/Lok Chong Chieh. They have an intriguing tie against Tan Bin Shen/Ong Soon Hock tomorrow.

Other Malaysian pairs which have progressed include the top-seed and defending champion Gan Teik Chai/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif, Chew Choon Eng/Hong Chieng Hun, the World Junior semi-finalist Lim Khim Wah/Mak Hee Chun and Khoo Chung Kiat/Mohd Razif Abdul Latif.

Strangely, Mohd Arif Latif/Vountus Indra Mawan are not here, despite this being their home event? Probably they are too exhausted after the World Juniors?
