Karakal's PU Super Grip is the best grip I've tried, tacky and thick.

Tactic's black replacement grip is excellent. The same grip in gray is not as good, don't know.

The two coloured ones are karakal PU Pro Duo but the original single ones are just Karakal PU Super grip. It is very long-lasting and tacky (especially at first) but if there is any criticism it is that it isnt very soft.

Karakal now only make a shorter and slightly thinner grip especially for badminton. I havent tried it so i cant comment but the best replacement grip i have ever used is Wilson Supersponge. Unbelievably tackly, softer and slightly thinner but it doesnt last as long. :D :D :D

best I've tried is Prince DuraTac, durable, and tackiness lasts a long time. However this is an overgrip, hence not very thick, but can just put more than one layer.
