Fren, Which badminton hall do you think its best? Let's brainstorm and put the pressure on the laggard halls. We want the best for badminton players. It will also help those who are searching for good badminton halls. So far, I select old JTC hq hall near Jurong East. Of course the only drawback is no water cooler. Lobby them lor... rgds
my vote goes to: 1) PSA club near harbourfront... but u have to pay a fee if you are not a member 2) spotiswoode park apartments near outram... only residents can book the court
i think i will go for Arena Country Club at Upper Jurong. Though i never play there before but i have been there to see that is mat flooring. only can play at night as during day time, the walls are quite distracting to the eyes due to reflection from the sunlight. Bad point - 1) only the member is allowed to book, not open for public. 2) the bus frequency is quite slow. ceng
1. Toa Payoh HDB Hub. Rubber court, air con. 2. Paya Lebar Singpost. Rubber court, air con. (only at night though, day time too much light!) 3. Marine Parade Town Coucil @ Serangoon. Rubber court. 4. Sheares Hall @ NUS. 5. MDIS @ Queenstown. Not bad. But all the courts can't be booked by the general public except no.3. Generally, the better badminton courts are not open for public usage.
So far, the best for me is iHub, old JTC hq hall. 2nd goes to spotiswoode park apartments and Safra Toa Payoh.
Jtc Yes, at least we have an agreement. The other one is of course sba court 1 and 2. The rest or the course are lousy.
safra good meh, the lighting not very good leh, sumtimes the mid lane 1 never turn on 1...somemore inside like suana, haven played warming up already sweating alot...
perhaps u can ask the staff to switch on the lights? have not heard any regulars complaining about the courts at all.
Best court Hi guys, Anyone try the court at Revenue House? I heard aircond n fully equipped. I wouldnt say we have the best court here. If u compare the flooring, lining, lighting, draft and etc, I think our neighbour: Malaysia have quite a number of good courts. The SSC courts here have so many lines, that they confuse yr judgement sometimes. The lighting itself is always from the ceiling rather than from the sideway. This sometimes blind yr sighting of shuttle when dealing with high balls. So, criterias have to be set if u want to call them best courts or not. Lee
Best court Hi Brother, Sure or not? One day, I will get some of our kakis to go in and try out. If not so, u berlanja ah? ok? Lee
Well, for i think Bedok Sportshall is gd enuff for me. Green rubber court or something. The thing i dont like abt it is the combination of basketball court and badminton court, too many line causes confusion. well anyway got use to it. err, anywhere else got the green rubber matting court in singapore?
Nowadays a number of outdoor courts at HDB estates are made of rubberised material like those at IMH. Wish SSC would build such courts in their sports halls.
