Okay, I've just got this question to ask people.

I was on msn today, and one of my friends sent me this link saying something like "Is this you? *Link*". I was curious, so I clicked it, and now everything is like screwed. Technically, nothing's really wrong AT THE MOMENT, but every time I log on to msn there's 3 files that keep on popping up on my desktop:

    "winstal.exe"
    "mc2.exe"
    "usetup.exe"

I have no doubt that this is a virus. I scanned my computer, antivirus couldn't detect anything.

My friend told me that he clicked the link and the same happened to him. Whenever he logs on to msn, he mass-sends this link to everyone, not even knowing it.

    Anyone got any advice?

P.S. It says I can't delete these files.

Ouch. It's a virus alright. This is what a quick google gave me. http://www.happy-messaging.com/messenger/virus/
Try it, not sure what virus you got hit with, but I would assume it's number 2 or 3. Give it a try and good luck. Next time don't open anything like that, lol. Happens all the time though so don't worry, most of them aren't that malicious as far as I know.

Nope. None of them. It said:

"Is this you?" and then a link.

What antivirus do you use? Try Avast, it works great for me.

Do you have anti-trojan software besides anti-virus ones? You also need Ad-Aware and Spybot.

Just wipe everything off your hard drive and start afresh.
