Anz, it's up to your own preference.

I string up my NS9K with Gosen Pro 66 at 24.25 lbs.

Equipment selection is very much personal preference. BG65 is known for losing tension. If you want to stick with this string, consider re-string with 1 or 2 more lbs next time.
BG80 and BG85 are both nice strings. However, their durability is not as good as BG65, especially BG85 for hard hitters. Overall speaking, I think BG80 is a nice choice, if you are willing to take a shot. ;)

Yep, agree. BG80 = superior, overall.

Yes, as long as the stringing machine supports it.

I see if i choose bg 85 strung at 23/25 it's about 24lb overall and I'm wonder if it's too high for me??and will this produce a nice pop sound because bg 65 strung at 23lb doesn't really have a nice pop..thanks:)

One way to find out if the string is right for you is try it out :D Also I believe BG85 makes a good pop sound when smashing from what I have read. I haven't used BG85 but I did use BG80 which is a great string. I recommend using BG80 if you're looking to try a new string.

Also, uou might want to take some time reading over the string reviews in the "Product Review" section: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/reviews/
Or do a search in this forum. Hopefully, you can find some information that would be useful to you. Good luck :)

just put BG80@26LB on my nanospeed 9000x 2U
the sound and repulsion is great.
BG85 may have a better sound than BG80 but the durabilty may not as good as BG80 that is most people said
try the BG85 first then we can exchange the experience because I put BG80 on
    :)

If you want noise then reduce the tension, if you wan't control dont.

If you where to ask me what to use I would say any 21 gauge string, 24-28lbs of tension depending on what you can cope with.

You can up one lb to 24/26.4 lbs. Get your racquet strung by a constant-pull machine and a stringer who doesn't cut corners.

If I'd string my Yonex NS8000 with BG65, how much tension should I apply to produce enormous smashing power and lots of noise?

Work on your tech and strength first. That will make most powerful smash and loudest sound. Also makes best first impression on girls.

I assume Heart was referring to the fact of hard working, rather than equipment selection. Btw, am I too late to sign up this course? :p
