His coverage is good and strokes seems to be reasonable. How are the two opponents that he and SmashingBird are playing against?

You can't and shouldn't judge a coach by how s/he plays. A good player doesn't necessarily make a good coach and vice versa.

technique wise, and tactically, form what we can see in one rally, it's good.

he was a little late on the short serve, and a little late on the jumpsmash, but technique is good. great net-intercepts by mr.Blue I must say! and also a bit of an unusual ending to the rally:p

I know who Jason is. The opponents' footworks are much weaker. :D

Two things stand out to me after a quick look.

    1. The opponents (players on the far side) are several steps below the level of the players on the near side. This make's it a little hard to see the players true level.

    2. What I see (on the near side) is two singles players playing doubles. To be fair, I'm guilty of playing like this a lot of the time, too.

The players on the near side are joking around. I don't think they need to pair up to finish off the opponents :D.

I hope you are not paying for his coaching since it seems to be a school badminton program.

The whole match was full of unecessary errors... net kills that go out of court and the # of times he net kills the shuttle into the net...

A good coach will always tell players that they should try hard in every game, because if you can't focus during a game(even if there is a gap between skill level), you ain't going to be completely focus in a tournament... obviously, the way they treated that tournament match was nothing more than a fun game only.

Get yourself the Zhao JianHau DVD sets instead, you will improve if you are willing to make adjustment and practice.:D
