Guangdong Sports is planning to show 3-1/2 hours of the round robin play in the men's team event on Thursday, according to their schedule, from 14:00 to 17:25 Beijing time. However, there is nothing listed for the weekend so it doesn't look good for the team playoffs.

Nothing listed for CCTV-5 yet, either. If there is any Doha coverage on other CCTV channels, I have no idea how to find that out as I don't know Chinese.

I would like to ask, when will Astro start broadcasting the Men's team event? It starts today, and Astro guide stated that it'll start at 2pm, but there's no channel for it! Is it gonna be broadcasted starting from tomorrow the 1st?

That was an hour ago? Did they get the time wrong? I just turned it on at what should be 3 minutes before the badminton broadcast starts (ie. it's 3:52 Beijing time now) and I'm watching Game one of a ping pong match. This is Guangdong Sports on PPStream. Are you watching the same channel?

Bao Chunlai is playing in the neighbouring court. The Chinese commentators must be frustrated.

Well, it seems they acted on their frustration. GDTV is showing volleyball now, in spite of what their schedule says. Oh well, we got to see one men's doubles match. I am not holding my breath about what we'll have streamed in the next week.

Well, on second look, GDTV's schedule didn't make any sense. They said they were going to show the men's team event live from 4PM to 7:30PM their time but 4PM in Beijing is 11AM in Qatar, or 2h after the team event started. From what Wong8Egg said, it seems they might have started their badminton coverage early. There are 2h left in the time slot they scheduled but all the 9AM(Qatar time) ties have finished so it is no wonder they are showing volleyball. They may have planned to show taped matches if those included China but since China was not on the TV court, it's volleyball. I'm only guessing.

At any rate, They say they'll be showing more badminton at 35 minutes past midnight but again, that is 7:35PM Qatar time and that is again 2h after the last round of team competitions starts so we're likely to see very little. It might pay to tune in early again, though. Who knows?
