argh ok, its rated upto 28lbs, I know very little about this side of badminton, I will try going upto 26/27lbs, see how it feels

In general, thinner string perform better. I tried some new strings (some courtesy of CTJCAD). They were all ultra thin 0.63mm-0.66m and they perform quite well. Durability, of course, will be lacking.

Dink, you may want to update the string reveiws because it was not too long ago when you changed the reviews to 27 lbs and the strings which were reviewed using higher tensions were not re-reviewed using 27 to correct reflect this chart.

..i actually tried to check their website, www.vinlux-international.com, and through google to find more infos and where it comes from, but came up empty...Have you heard of that brand in tennis??

I also wonder if they used another brand of string and just stamped the Vinlux brand on it..

And i noticed you've only tried 2 types of strings that are @ .63mm..

..
Oh, the Vinlux VI-18 string only cost me abt US$3.50 each..

Btw, just curious, how long (hours) did the Vinlux Vi-18 last for you?..

Vinlux Vi-18 is meant to last for 18 hours of play, I thought.

But seriously, 0.63mm strings strung at 27 lbs are only expected to last for just that long.

You are correct... the DinkALot's Badminton String Review Tables that were in posts #1 and #202 before, are no longer there (as at today, Wednesday 12-December-2007).

Perhaps, kwun accidentally deleted the tables.

BTW... I will leave it to you to inform kwun about the missing tables.

..all the other reviews' tables are back

..I also doubt kwun had deleted the links, because IIRC, all the tables were "hot-linked" to DinkAlot's computer/server...And now, they're still linked to the same location..
