Due to an unpleasant experience with a stringer, I've decided to string elsewhere.

I've found one, unfortunately he does not stock Yonex (Victor dealer). What is the equivalent of YY BG 80 from Victor's range? Would it be NS-880?

Any other string types recommended from Victor?

Just too bad that I've to switch strings due to that bad experience. Please share your opinions.

I have tennis elbow and hence getting myself a flexible racket so that I can smash with less effort. I prefer lower tensions 21/22 lbs on the carbonex 20 I use. Do I keep the same for the flexible racket for the same feel and control? What is the best string for lower tension?

This thread is worth a refresh. After doing an advanced search for it in this thread, it hasn't been updated since March 3, 2009. Many of us are eagerly waiting for an update to the list but I'm sure it will be quite an extensive addition.

Dink will be stringing for Yonex at the U.S. Adult Nationals this coming weekend. Will have access to all the latest Yonex string and test them at night.

And you think your funny; after making many of us turn in to the Ashaway Zymax serie ....

Recently tried again the BG80, compared to ZM62, I would not go back to Bg80....

I agree with you, I would definitely play with more ZM62 if I could justify getting a reel of it. The fact of the matter is ZM62 isn't as popular among university student club players, they just don't know any brands beyond yonex, victor and lining rackets and only yonex strings. I could make a push for ZM62 but the issue is if it breaks too often after I string it, will they really listen to rationality when I tell them that it's because of the string and mishitting rather than my stringing technique?

That said, it's just safer to string with BG80, something they're used to.

I'm considering buying 5-10 packs of ZM62 for myself. After playing ZM62 for 4 hours, it's still holding well.

ZM62 is more fragile then BG80, but much more responsive and powerful, enough for me to restring more often. I think that Ashaway are continuasly trying to improves durability on the ZM62 line.

If you don't mishit too often, especially on drives or smashes on the top portion of the racket at the 10 and 2 o'clock areas; it should last long enough to justify using it.

Thanks for the reply, I will consider it for sure depending on how long my current ZM62 lasts me. I don't mishit often and I added an extra cross at the top of my rackets to cushion the top of the racket a little bit. So I have 22 crosses.
