..hmm, i don't know if Dan or the rest of you guys feel it's somewhat significant or not, as i'm also curious in terms of their price range..So we can compare which strings would be more "cost effective" compared to their "overall performance", in comparison to their peers..

I think this is a very difficult question to answer because we have BC/BF members all over the world and cost of string and labor different depend on your location. Also, depend on if you string your racquet or have some one else restring it for you. For example, I get me YY BG80 @ $5 USD and YY BG85 @ $5.50 USD and Ashway MP @$4.75 USD from supplier. Since I string my own racquet w/BG85, that $0.5 makes no difference to me. While in some big sports stores in Canada, the difference between those strings can be more than $5 CAD. It would be unfair to ask our dear Panda to call different store in California to get their prices for different string. He has done a lot of wonderful work for us to put up string comp chart and grip chart for us.

Price is something you have to shop and find on your own.
I may be able to get Yonex Nanogy 95 for $9.00, but retail shops sell them for $22.00. Badminton shopping can be fun and challenging.

..hehe, silentheart, appreciate the input..Sorry, actually from my minor request, i was wondering what those prices are, *based only* on what Dan actually purchased(if he still remember what those cost). Just for a comparison purpose. And no, i don't want him(nor wished) him to go and call around other stores in CA or even all over the country..
I totally understand different places will offer different prices etc. or the labor cost will vary from one place to another. But in general, i think, those prices pretty much are "proportionate" world-wide(taken into account those strings sold around the world are the exact brand/model/quality)...Anyhoo, no biggie Dan if it's too much hassle..

thank you sir, i do agree that everything is subjective though, but at least we have a good idea what's hot and what's not. i personally haven't used any string extensively other than the yonex ones, but dan's comments are almost spot on for those.

I would recommand some more strings to try out. Yonex BG88ti( a good string IMO) & BG75ti(powerful but lose tension fast) / Gosen Pro66(very good feel and power but no durability) & B505ti(hard to find but can be a very good string) BTW, I agree that ashaway strings have a very good feel and power in the beginning, but they lose tension so fast that you can hardly play with them till they break.

I think for dink's next project; he should review rackets. It would be absolutely amazing to see how it would be done. On a more realistic note, shoes/clothing would be nice.

Nice review sir dink. I always try those string which u have recommend, and i was happy with the performance and sometimes is beyond my expection.
