    Women's team

    Group W
    Completed: CHN 5 MAS 0
    0900 INA v CHN
    1700 INA v MAS
Big fight for second place tonight. INA may throw the match against CHN to come up fresh against MAS. 50-50.

    Group X
    Completed: THA 3 HKG 2
    0900 SIN v THA
    1700 SIN v HKG
Difficult to tell. I think THA will beat SIN. But hard to seperate between SIN and HKG. Both don't have much depth. Wang Chen should take 1st game. Yippy v Xing? 50-50. 1st doubles SIN should take though Jang/Li. No idea about the other two matches.

    Group Y
    Completed: JPN 3 KOR 2
    0900 TPE v JPN
    1700 TPE v KOR
I predict JPN to clinch top spot and KOR second.

    Men's team

    Group A
    Completed: CHN 5 IND 0, INA 5 IND 0
    1300 INA v CHN
China big advantage in 2nd, 3rd singles and also 1st doubles. Lin Dan v Taufik hugely anticipated, but I think even a Taufik win here will not see hs team through.

    Group B
    Completed: KOR 4 VIE 1, THA 4 VIE 1
    1300 THA v KOR
The strength of Korean doubles should see them through.

    Group C
    Completed: MAS 5 JPN 0, JPN 5 HKG 0
    1300 HKG v MAS
Seems straight-forward. MAS to top group and JPN second.

A very disappointing first set for Jo/Greysia....losing 11-21. They won't beat Wong/Chin with this kind of performance:cool:

    9-5 CHN pressure from INA
10-5 CHN nice crosscourt shot on the line
11-5 CHN into the net again...

    A disastrous second set
The Chinese pair got 12 consecutive points to go from 9-5 to win it 21-5
Both Jo Novita and Greysia Polii made lots of mistakes with net and out returns...they were not even trying in the later stages....probably to conserve strategy for the more important clash against Wong/Chin later on?

Was wondering why the order of the tie between CT vs JPN is
    WS1
    WS2
    WS3
    WD2
    WD1

Chien Yu Chin is playing in WD1 and WS3. If they follow the standard
    WS1
    WD1
    WS2
    WD2
    WS3
She will have more rest right ?

Firda's right leg is heavily strapped. She still looks to be affected by the injury she got during the Dutch Open Final. I hope she can conserve her energy for the must-win point against Julia Wong later on.

Overall, some nice points by Firda...but Xie Xingfang made it 3-0 with a 21-13, 21-13 victory.
