I would like to purchase feather birdies. These are my options..I think they are all feathers if they are not just exclude those non-feathers. Please tell me what you think of the durability of each, speed etc. Yonex Aerosensa 50 - $35.00 Yonex Aerosensa 40 - $30.00 Yonex Aerosensa 20 - $25.00 Yonex Mavis 350 - $14.00 Yonex Mavis 300 - $12.00 Victor Champion - $25.00 Victor Tournament - $22.00 Victor Gold - $18.00 Victor Silver - $15.00 Those are in canadian dollars.
I know 350 and 300 arent in feather. I'd buy AS-40 because AS-20 isnt worth it If I get the chance to play with Victor shuttles one day, I will repost
Agree, the best is going to be the AS-50 but the best for the money is the AS-40 on your list. However for $18-$21/tube, you can get RSL Tourney Classic. It's right up there with the best.
problem is, RSL doesn't come in slow speed (74 to 75). I use AS20 and victor green champion. AS20 last me 3/4 of a game. Victor green champ. last 1 per game. For light duty, AS20 will do. For heavy smashing, AS40 would be a better option.
I see victor birds quite often. They have a nice feel and flight path, but durability isn't the best.
Feathers feel extremely different from plastic. They usually don't fly nearly as fast, have more of a feel on contact, and especially better at the net.
Closest to feathers you will get from a Plastic is with the Mavis 370's there not the same though but at least you wont kill a tube full in an eveneing. Other than that Asahaway 30's are good for less than you pay for a quality Yonex Feather.
the best feathers ive played with are ashaway black, they fly better than yonex as30's and have good durability. If your going with feathers go for the carlton F1 shuttles fast speed as the fast ones are closest to feather ive used. but i rarely use plastics.
I see. How about the victor champions? Could you please list the pros and cons, durability, speed etc. thx dinkalot
How about the victor silver, gold and champion?? ARe they good in durability etc. And if I buy the yonex one I'll probably get the Yonex Aerosensa 20 or the as 40. BTW how many shuttles are in all these tubes?? the yonex looks like it has a lot or many it's just the tube...thanks
The Victor Champion is very good if from Taiwan. I've seen fakes and variations that were not nearly as good.
The Victor Silver and Gold are not made to be "best" shuttles. They are intermediate shuttles with average durability. The Yonex AS40 is way better than the AS20. AS40 can be considered a near top quality shuttle while the AS20 cannot. From your list, your best bet is the AS40 or Victor Champion, assuming it's real and the premium/top quality version from Taiwan.
