To all you MP77 users out there, have any of you tried high string tensions? i want to know how high the mp77 has sustained without breakage. so far i'm at 22x24, and want higher. obviously, i am not going to jump a few pounds...i'm trying 24x26 next time.

I've tried stringing at 22x24 lbs with BG85. No problems at all!
I just restrung it about an hour ago with BG68Ti at 23x25 lbs.
    So far so good!
    Haven't tried it out though.

have any of you heard of people breaking their mp77? i haven't. mp77 seem to be amonst the most durable yonex racquets. i'm thinking... if the ti10 can take 30 lbs, mp77 should be able to take 35lbs. although i don't know who want do that. i have my mp77 strung at 22lbs with bg68, but after a couple of month, it lost so much tension. i'm gonna get it cut and strung at either 25 or 26lbs.

I tried the MP77 with BG68Ti at 23x25 lbs on Sunday.
    The feel is awesome man!!
Much better control and accuracy now.
    Slightly more power in smashing.

The racquet should be able to sustain a tension of 24/26lbs. To be honest, it is very disappointing that high end racquets should break nowadays but MP77 seems OK so far.

Just to point out, the Yonex strings seem to stretch more after being strung (esp BG65) so after a few weeks, 24/26lbs may loosen up. This may not happen with strings of manufacturers so according, a slightly lower tension maybe more suitable for these strings.

I have broken two racquets from playing in over 15 years of playing. One was a cab8 (metal frame) - the racquet had suffered quite a lot of use. The other was a proKennex 787 which I had the experience with the strings. The new string was Kevlar material. Luckily I was into playing with cheaper racquets at the time so the loss of a racquet didn't hurt my feelings (and my wallet).

ah i see...well i use bg70, which supposedly doesnt stretch as much as bg65....and ya, my next stringing tension will be 24x26
