hi, I was wondering what the maximum tension for the NS9000X was, I mean the max tension that I could put the strings at without a string snapping on the first smash I do
strings don't break on first smash unless you misshit near top of frame. I've tried 31x34lbs even with the most fragile strings in BG66. During the 50 hits i tried on this racquet (MP100), string did not break. Though i can't say much about it after the 50 hits, that was when i cut the strings, realising that's defintely not a tension i can handle.
Yep, yesterday, I used my BG66 at 27/30lbs. on my Cab 20 TS with the U-Shaped Grommets (which is more like 29/32lbs. - 30/33lbs. on an oval) and played against some advanced players (I should say they ran me around). I was smashing for 3 games straight and BG66 didn't break, surprisingly. After the match, with the same racket, I was just doing some leisurely clears and on a mishit, poof, the string snapped. So if you don't mishit, BG66 can last decently well at higher tensions. But if you mishit, watch out.
I put 26lb with bg80, so far so good yonex says 27lbs max. but here people say above 29lb without any problems so it is your choice from 22-30
I'm curious---so if I mishit a lot I can break strings easily??--so you mean hitting the shuttlecock on the frame??? or a total mishit
What string are you referring to? If BG66, yes it'll break fast on mishits. Mishit in this case = not hitting the sweetspot of the string bed, hitting the edge of the string bed, not the frame. If you hit the frame, the string will not break but the racket might.
