    Hello Everyone,

I am starting to get a headache from noticing all of the "I have hurt ____, how do I fix it?" posts. Is there a way to create an 'INJURY' section so that we can post these questions there?

    Thanks,
    Toddster

P.S. I tried to create a "Poll" but I never foudn where to place the

I never came across the "To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include."

But I could not find the "Checkbox".

    Thanks,
    Toddster

    FROM FAQ

You may notice that some threads on this forum also include a section where you can vote on an issue or question. These threads are called 'polls' and this is how to create them:

    Creating a new poll

When you post a new thread, you may have the option to also create a poll.

This function allows you to ask a question and specify a number of possible responses. Other members will then be able to vote for the response they wish, and the results of the voting will be displayed in the thread.

    An example poll might be:

    What is your favorite color?

    Red
    Blue
    Yellow
    Green
    Sky-blue pink with yellow spots
To create a poll when you post a new thread, simply click the 'Yes! post a poll' checkbox at the bottom of the page, and set the number of possible responses you want to include.

When you click the submit button, you will be taken to the poll creation page, where you can specify the question and the list of responses you want to include.

You may also want to specify a time limit for the poll, so that (for example) it only stays open for voting for a week.

I have a feeling that only Moderators can add polls to threads now.

I have no idea what the poll you want is.

The best way to fix an injury is to see a doctor who can refer you to a specialist.

In most cases, its as james pointed out... it's best to ask a doctor. It's just my guess, but BC could get into trouble with an injury forum, people might take minor advice too seriously and it could come back to bite BC.

The Poll I would place is:

    1. Keep injury questions/responses in the General Section
    2. Create an Injury Section for questions and answers to be placed there.

    Thank you,
    Toddster

i myself agree with you very much...as a lot of us have back pain and joints etc...and many of us simply started a new thread...and the thread are spread around the whole forum

    so your poll is about:

wether we should start a Injury section?
    1 Yes
    2 No
where should we start the section?
    1 General
    2 Pain
    3 training
    4 ???????

what type of injury do you have:
    1
    2
    3

I think it should be in techniques and general and body or something. It would be cool if there was a picture of a persons anatomy and you could click on a corresponding body part and be taken to a forum on injury / training techniques with sticky's for the best excercise program for each muscle or limb.

I like the idea of a Pain forum :D

    Subforums:
    Haven't seen a doctor

Have seen a doctor but didn't like his advice

Never going to see a doctor, I just want sympathy

Should get some physio but it costs too much, I'd rather have a Playstation than a working arm

hahahahaha. I'm sure those would well accomodate the, 'Injured, refuse to rest, now cannot walk.' and the 'This is a false/minor injury for post count.' subtopics. :p

Although to be honest, I kind of like helping out/hearing about how people are coping with genuine chronic injuries and rehab... definitely helpful.
