2 player or 1 player, why different racket ?

    I dont understand, why there is this difference ?
    the racket must be really different if i play single or double game ?

    Usually a doubles racket needs to be quicker (thus, lighter) because there is increased need for smash deffense and interception. In singles, one usually uses a heavier racket (especially head heavy) because it makes it easier for long rallies with long range techs such as clears. Since the pace of singles is relatively slower, a player can use a more heavy (powerful) racket because he has more time for longer windups.

    Although this is theoretically. It really boils down to preference.
