Re: Colour PREFERENCE
I like black too since I think it looks cool but you still can paint logos onto the string using white paintOriginally posted by Byro-Nenium
My personal favourite is black because that way i can't paint any logos onto my strings to ruin the strings....
thanks for all replies
Am currently using silver since that's the only colour the Winex Ti-80 strings that I have in stock.

I choose dark blue BG-66 with my MP99 because blue is opposite color of yellow and I think it's interesrting to do that. But I use white bg65 with my TI-10. I think it's too pale.

hmmm.... I'm planning to restring my Ti-10 soon, and I'm thinking one color for main and one color for cross

i wonder how that'd turn out

Light blue with red YY logo on my MP77

My personal preference.... although I also understand that a top Indonesian singles player seem to have copied my style too... hehe!

I consider the "combination" of string and racket more than the string itself. If the "combination" turns out to be ugly, I will surely not order that kinda of string.
I believe in US market, most racket comes out defaultly using white string.

i like white
with no logo's, logo's to me make the raquet look cheap

Silverish-grey BG-75Ti strings, looks nice, good change from the standard white that most people use. Just did a couple's racquet using two packs of BG-65 where one is purple and the other is white. I mixed the cross and main so that the husband has purple cross w/ white main, and wife has white cross w/ purple main.
They seemed to like it.

Not a prob, I'll borrow my gf's digital camera next time. Also I gotta go find some colored string too, all I have left are white BG-65Ti and silver BG-75Ti now.Originally posted by LazyBuddy

I prefer white, never tried black yet as I've never seen any black strings all my life in Malaysia yet, except the one on one my student's racquets - BG66. But I'm sure it'll look absolutely cool on a Ti-10.
I haven't seen red coloured strings yet, but I think the Darth-Maul-Effect should look good. Come to think of it, we're all like badminton 'Bedi(s)', out racquet our lightsabers. The colour of the string makes no difference to the racquet or our performance, except physchologically. A red, green or blue lightsaber doesn't show how good a Jedi is, no?
But I think both white and black is the best colour in terms of 'fashion' as the monotone suits all sorts of racquet colour scheme.
There, I bumped this thread all the way up for new BF-ers (who are to lazy to read old threads...) a chance to post their two or three cent's worth.
Any thread on grip colour?

I prefer white or green/yellow strings for my mp99. For my ti swing or any other racket, i'd have to go with blue.
Grip color, for my mp99, i like to use blue or black. Any other racket, black matches with them all.
I'd like to go back to one of the older posts by kwun, how he mentioned that some coloured strings may be more slippery than others. I too used to think that but now don't really pay attention to that anymore.

I used to like deep blue and white for my strings. But after putting on some saturated red Gosen Hy Sheep Super Micro recently, I totally fell in love with my racquet all over again! The red contrasted very nicely against the metallic green colour of my BK 2008QC, making it very sharp to the eye!
And for the record, I absolutely detest flourescent yellow for strings.

When I was in junior high (my goodness... that's a really long time ago...), it was popular for a single piece of string to have a wild blend of colours. The result, of course, is a string bed where the colours are not uniform at all.
I suppose that was a fad which has been over and done with?

Let me think......I would say.....different strings for different rackets.
MP88, white only
MP99, white, but yellow is also doable
MP100, white or red
Cab20L, white or black
ISO-TIX-SR, white or blue or purple
However, not every type of string has all the colors! I have never seen BG85 or BG80 in black or red.............and I really hope Yonex can do something about it.
