We have won some gold medals in other sports.
thanks for correcting me, but I meant 36 years for badminton.

    Congratulations to the Malaysian pair..

Watched the final yesterday, and the way they played, not only in the final, but en route, is absolutely brilliant... Fast, short rallies that pressurize opponents, no fuss, just brilliant play.... They way they play now, if they can mantain it, then bigger titles (READ: Olympic Gold!) will surely be within reach!

COngrats to Koo and Tan! Awesome performance! Could not believe my eyes that they put up such an incredible show from quarter, to semi, to final. They didnt drop a single set. Wow!

If they can keep it up, they have potential to be the next Park Joo Bong-Kim Moon Soo!

Not forgetting brilliant performances in the first round where they conceded 4 points only and the revenge match in the round of 16

With China and Indonesia dominance, Malaysian has waited for a long time to celebrate a gold medal finish in the Asian Games. Just check how many gold medal Malaysia or even Indonesia won at this Games compared to China with >100 gold medals, and you may understand why Malaysian, myself included, are estatic over the gold medal.
oh man, u r comparing apple and orange.

how about comparing the no. of Gold per capita with malaysia.

    let's put it that way,

the citizen ration between malaysia and china is about 1:48
meaning to say that each gold malaysia get, china must get 48.
let's look at the medal table. malaysia has got 4 gold while china has got only 103 which is still 89 behind in order to tie with the ratio.

furthermore, i believe malaysia has got also other strong hold such as the squash Nicol David, bowling .... sepak takraw.
