Which racket do you prefer for
    -singles
    -doubles
    -clears
    -net drops
    -drops
    -smashes etc...

Me and my friends are debating on which one is better. I personally think it's the Armortec 800 DE. I'd like to know what Badminton Central thinks.:D

Definitely the offensive for me. I need all the power I can get. Touch is easier to develop through practice/skillwork than power is (other than with heavy weightlifting in the off-season).

Thanks, i admit though that i'm about that the OF sounds cooler and better. I guess i'm just relucant. I like being on offensive for any sport. Having a racket that says defensive sounds kinda... wussy. After reading a lot of reviews, I do think DE is better though. I don't know what to stick with since I love popping on smashes. I sure hope DE does lot's of that.

seriously, dont choose by its name.
If u only value hitting hard go for the OF. '
Korean pros eat kimchi and use DE instead :p

Ok, then do you guys prefer G5 or G4?
Also, if you overgrip a G5 using a Kason grip, would it be G4 size?
Generally, would you get more power if the G(x) was lower?

Try both and decide for yourself. Both are good.

the difference isn't much, two of them already the high end racket, DE more flexible, OF more stiffer, DE better at clear, OF better for drop and smash.
    confuse??
just match it with ur playing style,
ex: if u like smash so often and u are a hard hitter then go for OF;)
but for someone that doesn't have personal playing style (all round), OF or DE didn't give much in difference:D
better for each other is different..... better for me sometime worse for other;)

Offense is always better than defense. There you have it. :)

choosing a racquet based on what the pros is not the best idea...also, playing with the racquet once will not give you enough time to get used to it unless the racquet you're using has similar characteristics. just my opinion of what kimpe_bultang said. :)
