u don't need good defense or singles??? lol if you really want the maximum offense, t-10 is the hardest smasher... but in the expense of your defense..

    personally i would go with AT700 or AT800 de:D

There's no pure single or double rackets. Whatever serves you well, is the best one for yourself. I believe both Chen Hong and LCW used or still currently using NS8k for singles, and there's nothing wrong with it. ;)

LCW has switched to NS9000 already. I got one Lin Dan poster with his huge jump smash, holding NS8000, though I have seen him using AT700 (Taufik & Peter Gade too) in recent tournament.

To be honest, I suggest you stay with your racquet for doubles in singles. Unless you are a really, really high level player and are specialized for one event over the others, it will probably be to your advantage to preserve the same feel with both racquets.

As much as people make a big deal out of different weights and their advantages in different parts of the game, the difference (while noticeable) is not that significant. It certainly has no impact on your game when compared to skill, it's not going to win or lose you a match.

If you are comfortable with your NS, I'd suggest you stick with it... it will save you money and save you adjustment periods to different racquets during tournaments.

because singles isn't that as high speed as a doubles game, a head heavy and box-framed power racket like AT700 will be ideal.. it is also stiff...

An AT800 de cuts through the air easily and is more maeuverable... although it's a defense racket, i find that it has a decent smash power... it is VERY suitable for doubles... i also find the shaft a bit flexible, a med shaft maybe...

    take your pick..lol :D

From what I've read so far, I'd be more than interested to try a Woven 11 for singles!
