These screens are captured during DOHA 2006 Man Single Final between Lin Dan VS Hidayat. Wondering his gripping style. For my understanding, the more thin of ur grip will gives u a lighter feel on the racquet when u swing it. Lin Dan is using Armotec 700 (I do not know wat is the size of the grip (G4 or G5) and also how heavy is the racquet (3U or 4U)). I guess Lin Dan wants the racquect to become lighter?
thats just his style of gripping I dont reccomend cause its making your gripping worse since you need to hold the front sometimes, unless you never need to play a more controlled shot

Looks like he has learnt his lesson, and is taping the bare part of the handle with masking tape?
yes buddy g for the orthodox gripping ,i don't recommend lin dans gripping because thats not the way .maybe he is comfortable with that but i recommend to use a grip yhat ll give you cusion and good movement ...and the best way to know is get to a coach....
