I'm really interested in taking badminton lessons and also play competitive. I live in the vancouver b.c. area. I'm really interested in going to cleartwo but it's quite far--about an hour to bus there..but it's not that big of a deal. VRC is really close about 6km away--I used the yellowpages hehe..So which is better the vrc or c2?? I'm also wondering what happens if you finish AA in vrc.?? are there private lessons? I know c2 has them. Thanks
Nope I'm not a member at vrc--so it's more expensive if I take lessons there..unless I have memembership
well..membership is around 450 just play either during the day or during the nite..lessons are extra..so..I would just recommend going to cleartwo..there r lotta good coaches there that can most likely suit your competitive needs..=)
before you enroll in a lesson group at C2, you should get yourself assessed by one of the coaches there so that they can have a better idea of your skill level and put you in a class that is right for you
I really want to learn at c2..but I haven't confirmed it yet. So if I take assestments I have to buy my badminton shoes because I can't use my nike shox at c2. Sad...oh well badminton shoes--comfy!! it's worth it
in terms of being member and taking lessons at VRC,the price differences isn't that big....is like a difference of 4 dollars for private 1 hr= 39 for non member 1 hr= 35 for members The gas u pay to get to richmond probably makes up for it maybe In terms of group training, yah C2 for sure has best group training at the elite and super elite level no doubt. Honestly,if you're worry about skill level and what not,you should get private training first, get all the basics correct and THEN join group training. Because group training are like conditioning and doing drills and stuff,if you don't get the basics down properly, you just screw urself doing the drills since the coaches cannot spent 100% of the time correcting every lil movement you make. That is why most of the time, kids under super elite or elite do private lessons AND group training at the very same time. Because not only do you continue to work on your basics, learn stuff and work on consistency duing private, but you can also get experience through games in the group training.
I see some ppl told me to take group then private. Private--heard there was a long waiting list-I rather take private after super elite?? Well I'm not the pro here you are!! lol
Go to VRC and have PeteLSD run you. Quite a few benefits: 1) You get a great aerobic workout 2) You get lessons for free 3) You save money and time because you don't have to travel so far 4) You get to see 32/35.2lbs. strung rackets.
kool does pete learn there or is he a coach??!! haha I would love to try a 30lb racquet but I could barley play with one I think...haha
i would love to take some lessons from pete lsd as well n see hes legendary 35 lb racquet but too bad i m not a member:crying:
LOL 35lb is a crzyyyy tension lol...So does pete teach at vrc?? and do I get free lessons --please haha!!!
The joke has gone too far . No, I am not a coach. I am just a crippled old dude . You should ask Smashingbird to teach you . Oh 35.2 lbs is just the cross tension .
