does bg66 cost around M$22 in Malaysia? its cost more in other countries.

perhaps you can try these 'clones' of BG66 in your country - Fleet, Proace, Gosen Pro66, Ashaway Powergut etc.

I would say the Gosen Pro 66 would be about equivalent of that. It is a harder string in comparison to the BG66 which is softer.

Try BG80. I've used BG80 and BG66 side by side and though BG66 is more responsive, most crisp for drives and wrist shots, for power, BG80 gets the edge and lasts longer.

Try Yonex BG-6. The feel is the same as BG66 except that it does not break that easily, more durable.

    Clone bg 66 ??

    Hi Roller,

just 4 yr info, Ashaway strings eg. powergut 66 is not a cloned of bg 66 .

do u know that Ashaway makes bg 66 string for Yonex ?? 17 years ago ??

General public thought that bg 66 is the best string around , but that is not true . Ashaway power gut 66 and Ashaway micro legend is .

I will say BG80. Gosen Pro 66 is close as well, but somehow feels a bit difference. Ashway PG66 to me is just a totally different string. More durable, but feel completely different.

BG-6 is a low grade Yonex string and is promoted by some shops as similar to BG66. This is not true. BG-6 has poor performance.

I agree with pro 66 even though I never used it but bg 85 might be close to the bg 66 and it lasts a bit longer too.
