I have no idea where you got this from but it makes no sense at all. Tropicals get the ones ment for warmer climates and colder countries get the ones ment for cold.

Ok why is HK, Yonex is bringing in speed 3 which is suitable for the warm climate in HK, compared to bringing a speed 4, which is suitable for a colder climate like Canada?

    http://www.shuttlecock.com/Resources...speed_info.php
yonex shuttle speed number is the lower the number, slower the shuttles. BTW, vancouver doesn't represent all of canada

Well, lets not get into the specifics where in Canada it would apply but it is true Canada uses speed ##.

Yes, I know it should be slower for the lower number. There is a problem, but a counter example to prove wrong for this case here in this part of Canada. Speed 3 is too fast for our climate, as it can be seen visibly flying too fast because it's cutting through the air easily. Speed 4 is used to slow it does as it creates more drag with the additional weight.

I do believe this is why Dinkalot also thought the numberings are in the reverse as well.

There is some piece of information missing which we need to know so it all comes together.

I must be in the wrong place...

though I distinctly remember clicking on "string tension and temperature change"

though, to strick to the current 'topic' I remeber from chemistry gasses get more dense when they cool down...(try cooling down water vapor)

exception is, offcourse, water. if you freeze water it gets less dense, but this is because it forms hydrogyn-bridges...the molucules stand further apart.

I think humidity is the key factor, because 'hot air' absorbs more moisture...wait, that might make it more dense...hmmm, how contradicting

    OK
    1) Can we start another post in shuttle forum to discuss shuttle speed vs air density?
    2) Since there is no drinking forum, I propose to continue the party here. Any objection? No wild turkey please. LSD is OK for me. Johnny Walker black or higher is OK too. DO NOT bring in Korbel to NewYear party!!!

Yes, I saw them before. However, I have not tried it yet. I know Belgium makes great beer. How about Chimay? They are made by Belgium monks. (they need beer to chant lauder)

I thought the international is correct because you did say lower number the slower, and that is what appears to be in there. So what would be the correct list of Yonex rating it's equivalency with the grain rating?

I do know Yonex 4 = Speed 78 (ie. Victor Champ #1) for sure as I've seen at the local shop here.

    Thanks
