    Hi everyone!!! :)

This is the first that I've posted a new thread. I hope that some of you will notice this post.

Anyway, does anyone here using a racket by the brand name Chaopai? I've bought mine about 4 months ago. I'm still using it now and I like it a lot. :D It's a Double Power JC-508. It weighs 86 +- 2 g. It has an overall length of 675 mm. You can string it up to 34 lbs.

The first time I used it I find it hard to use. :( Before then I was using a much shorter racket. I was using before a Dunlop Max 850 Titanium. It weighs 88g, even balance and it has a maximum string tension of 26 lbs. When I switched to Chaopai I felt kinda strange. I can't hit the shuttle right. I don't feel any power at all. It's like hitting at 100 kph when you know you can do it at 200. It tried to switched between the rackets and still get confused.

The next time I used the Chaopai racket it was different. :) I felt that I can control it the way I do before. I can smash it to fullest the way I want it to. Sometimes, my opponents can't hit it back when I hit the birdie. Never been happier before. :D

I attached some pictures and hope you like it.

    Happy New Year everyone!!!

    hi there.
never heard of the brand, but it certainly looks to have an armortec type isometric frame.
    where is it made?
and how much can you get them for?

    Hi there Dreamz!!! :)

I just called the store where I bought it. The one who answered the phone said to me that it's made from China. I bought it here in my native country, the Philippines, for 4350 pesos. That's almost a $100. I understand why you don't know about this kind of brand. The reason is that it's limited to a few stores even here in the Philippines. You might find it in your place if you were lucky enough. :D

USD100 eh, that's kinda pricey for a relatively unknown brand.
then again, if you like how it feels, then who cares how much it costs?
    ;)

Well, yeah. It's a bit expensive. That's the only racket I know that can be strung up to 34 lbs. I don't like signing any waivers that will tell me that the store has no obligations if broke my racket just because the tension is too high. I can't afford to buy Yonex especially those ATs, NSs and MPs. They're way off my budget. :crying:

I friend of mine bought this brand but I am not sure the model. Will get a shot of this when I meet him this Sunday and enquire about this. What I know is that it is quite popular in China. According to this friend, it is very playable too.

you definitely made the right choice as soon as you felt that the racket is the right one for you.:)

the racket's popularity shouldnt be your basis in determining if you made the right choice.;)

have u tried to string it to 34 lbs?Cos some of them r just boasting.Chaopai r not popular in china itself.I've seen their rackets, but i guess most of them were only for recreational play. This is the first time i saw their high end racket, from ur thread.A $100?That's pricey. However,it's back to u though..as long as it's good for u! ^_^

the most important is what the string and ur tension? You said next play better, before that u can't hit further. I wonde what is ur string and tension when 1st play and next play? Cause racket doesnt make such that big impact, so it must be the tension and string:)

    Chao Pai

I used to own one. It's design was a clone of MP100 - -I forgot the model number. Unfortunately, I had a really strong racket clash with a powerful smashing friend of mine- -his Prince racket immediately got wrecked. I was able to use my racket for a couple more playing days, after which it gave way after a much, much softer/slighter racket clash with a (different) partner. I guess the frame was already internally destroyed then.

I liked my Chao Pai racket - -it provided good control and my smashes were pretty strong. I've been looking for the same racket since then but I haven't seen a similar model in shops in Manila which carry Chao Pai.

Have been using Karakal75, Prince Whisper 81 and Yonex Armortec500 hence.
