I have been using Gosen 3400 Aermet Gavun racket for the last 1 year. It is a great racket for double player. The racket is light head, but, it has great power and control.

Currently, top of the line racket from Gosen (in Thailand) is Gosen Aermet 5700. It is stiff with a little head heavy. It provides massive power in attacking. Good news !!! the new model from Gosen called " Gosen 6900 Boonsak Signature" will be available in Thailand in Jan '07.

I tried the 5700 and 3700. They are good but not great. They just feel different. Best for you to test yourself and decide what you like.

the lastest gosen model that available in Thailand is the Aermet X700 series, 1700 2700 3700 and 5700, the higher number in front, the more stiffness they are. So the Aermet 1700 that bertbrainz mentioned seems to be the medium stiffness shaft come with gavun 2 kick point but the thing that make 1700 and 2700 difference from the two high end model (3700 and 5700) is the latter comes with "Vibless Grommet" technology. In terms of price (Baht) the Aermet 1700 racket is quoted around 3,200 Baht, equivalent to 89 USD, however, we normally get 35-40% discount from retail racket shops behind Supacharasai National Stadium. So the net price should be around 1,950 Baht or 54 USD.

I thought the 5700 was the latest model, looks like 6900 is a newer and better racket, Boonsak Model. Very nice looking racket, if you get one, let us know how it feels to play with.

The Aermet 1700 is rated as a racket for all around player. So it may be even balanced or slightly head heavy racket. If you are looking for something more agressive why don't you try the Aermet 5700 one. The 5700 has balance point 29.5 +/- 2 and also able to hold string tension up to 30 Lbs. , so, it is made for hard hitter pretty sure.

Actually, I'm not working for Gosen dealers or any racket shop in Thailand. I'm just ordinary badminton player but I prefer rackets from Victor and Gosen rather than that of the famous one.

Umm...that's very difficult for you to get it, unless one of you friends has a chance to visit BKK, then, you may ask your friend to help you.

That is the easiest way i can think of. SO I'm sorry if it cannot help you that much.
