    Ok, the birdie is there...now...

..all you need is just a racquet and net and you're all set to play..;) :D
Btw, just curious & a few questions if you don't mind answering:
    1. how long did you(and your family) build that "monument", so far??..and wow, it's not done yet??..;)
    2. what are the dimensions(ie. total height, width) of that construction??..

Thanks for the replies..and some more questions, if you don't mind..

...i see, i see...The "monument" looks quite sturdy, at least to my eyes..hmm, re the width of 2.8M, is that the width at the top or the base/bottom?? Cos your "monument" tapers @ the top, so i assume the base is wider than the top..Couple more questions:
    1. If i'm not mistaken, i noticed there is/are no vertical support other than the diagonal wood planks running vertically on 4 sides supporting the top platform..am i correct??..
    2. And I assume you just built it straight up vertically??..
    3. Just wondering also, what material did you use to create & wrap the "cork" end of the shuttlecock??..I assume you use wood also for the framework of the cork end??..
Anyways, looking fw to your final completion picture(s)..:p ;)

Thanks for the replies and sorry if you weren't clear on some questions..

    scminton,
sorry if my questions weren't clear to you..anyways..
Question #1, i was just inquiring if those wood pieces/ running in an angle, are the only supports for the top platform. Because i don't see any other wood pieces running up vertically. Unless the pictures' angles kind of hide them.
For question #2, i was asking abt the whole construction itself. Not necessarily the shuttlecock.
For question #3, thanks for the answer.
One more question, the width which you gave (2.8M), is that the width at the top or bottom/base of the construction??..I assume it's @ the top??..

Btw, i just remember, we have another BC/BF member who also resides in Korea. His screen-name is event. Not sure if he lives close to your coffee house or not though..Thx also for sharing your blogspot..;)

    answer ^^*

1.It's just made of wood ( I attached another picture)
2.not top.. the width is bottom
and actually the constrution was base of a windmill
we changed the plan .. ^^ We were so difficult to make windmill
    so, we made shuttle cock...
and.."event" lives from my house in place that it takes 4 hours by a car

Is my answer enough to quench your curiosity?
    Your interest is so thx
May ask more without limit if is more that you wonder yet about this
(that sentence used translatoin softwear ..)

    Korean Monument

    Wow!

Your love of badminton is greater than that of any of us.
Hats off to you mate for building and displaying that shuttlecock.
It's so heartwarming to see such a monument to the game.

I'm curious about something: Does everyone in your family play badminton?

All the best to you, friend.
Have a great year ahead :)!

PS: Maybe if I'm lucky enough to visit Korea, I'll come by so that I can have a coffee, meet you, play a game and take a picture next to your display .

Thanks for quenching my curiosity, scminton..

...yes, your answers are aplenty..thanks and sorry to keep on asking you..:p;)..Wow, event lives that far heh??..:p
hmm, so the construction itself is not that big, as i thought it'd be..Although the pic is playing tricks with my eyes..hehe:p;)
Also, it's quite interesting when you mentioned that your original plan was to build a windmill(more like a Danish monument) but then you altered it to show a shuttlecock..;) :)
