    hey,
recently a family friend of ours went to vietnam for somethings. while he was there my dad asked him to buy us some stuff. I asked him to buy me a proace sweetspot 900 and my dad asked him to get us some string. the problem is, when we strung the 900 with the string, the string's finish was really smooth and the yonex on the string itself isnt very clear. the packages all have the sunrise sticker on them. i'll take pictures later, if theres any specific areas of the packaging that you'd like taken please ask n i'll get em. If they are fake, what should i do? should i send a email to yonex or something? thanks for the help

There are a lot of fake Yonex (shoes, grips, rackets, strings, clothes, etc) all over the place, especially some Asian markets. If yours are fake, there's nothing much you can do, especially Yonex USA has nothing to do with the Asian regions. Next time, don't ask non-badminton ppl to do the shopping. If you have to, let them only visit reputable authorized dealers. ;)

Yep, I tried some fake/replica/Clonex strings and they were very interesting. They ranged from numb to slippery to brittle to wow, not too bad. However, none were as good as the real thing. :p

Well, you can still use them for practice strings (for stringing, or for other lend-to-others rackets, etc...)

Just find some ways to run them down :p

Only if they got caught. However, with huge profit margin, a lot of ppl willing to take the risk, jump into this business, and screw up others. :(

Your mean high end yonex rackets? Or, things like string or gears? I believe for string and gears, a lot of them are NOT manufactured in JP.

I mean strings.Sunrise's yonex is made in taiwan. Some says it's not bad,but one thing for sure it's different from JP.Yup..alot of them..But the good thing is that they admit from the price that it's fake. They're not trying to fool anyone, and i once asked them, wont u get caught..they say,..as long as ppl buy it just for sport, then we wont be caught.U get what i mean?
