Oil Filled string is supposed to be shock absorbing.
I was thinking of my poor elbow and shoulder.

thickness is due to internal oil cavity, not more string;)
Prolly more suited for tennis application

If you want shock absorbing, you should try Ashaway PG65 Power. It's a very soft string. I can send you soon if you like, just PM me. :)

Elastic is very shock absorbing too:D

    Not much power though:rolleyes:

Maybe you can send Dinkalot some Neil so he can test it to put on the String guide:)

    Irrespective of the string:

15 lb tension = shock absorbance

14 lb tension = great absorbance

well, that certainly absorbs shock...it absorbs soo good you don't feel a thing when you hit;)

QUATION: you are stringing outside the manufacturers recommend tension range! you might void the warranty:D ;)
    (yonex tension recommendation: 18-24lbs)

    How would you know ?

If that is the case, you had better not restring your rackets. To do so, you had to reduce the tension to 0 lbs first. Nowhere on the Yonex sticker does it say you are allowed to have no tension on your racket.

because even I handle some 14-17lbs rackets at soem times (borrowed rackets, or "hey can I try your racket?")

and the second part...never even mind...
Edit: though...you cán order an unstrugn yy racket...so if yonex can do it, so can we ;)
