About 2 weeks ago when I was washing my hair I was lying down on the tub where my chest is. So basically I put some pressure onto my chest. After maybe a day the chest started to hurt. It hurts when I let all the air in my lungs out. About a week later it good much much better. On tuesday I played 1 hourt of badminton I didn't even feel the pain in my chest. But today for my badminton lesson the chest pain came back. It hurts when I do a clear/smash, when I turn to the right and left and when I exhale almost all the air in my lungs the pain is there. Right now I can't see a doctor to confirm what's wrong but I want your opinion on what I should do. For example umm heat/cold pad,get some rest etc. Thanks for your time, much appreciated!
Obviously, time off from badminton/physical sports is a good idea, I'm not sure what kind of pain it is (muscle/bone/etc) but if it is muscle, stretch out your chest and if it is bone or otherwise, the only solution is to see a doctor.
Ok thanks..it's kind of weird I always lay on the tub to wash my hair but yeah. Thanks for your help I'll strectch tonight to see how it goes.
Well, Im studying medicine at the moment so i may have an idea, and unfortuantaly, I dont think its too exotic. Sounds like you just bruised your chest or strained a muscle. Unless your tub is serated and you weight 140kg its unlikely to be bone. Stretch it gently every so often and rest it and try not to play badminton until its completely better. I could be wrong but chances are , thats all it is.
Yep does sound like a pulled muscle, couple of weeks rest and it should put itself right. Any further problems see a doctor.
i used to get that when leaning on a desk at school. i cant rember much, but i stoped leaning on my desk and it just went away. so just rest a few days.
