[quote=ray_mond;1255305]It is not up to us to choose who gets it and who doesn't. Without a doubt, he definitely should enjoy his datukship.quote]
I agree with you on the first part. On the other hand, if I were him and a big if, I wouldn't enjoy this datukship, not at this moment, maybe if it were to be confered 10 or 20 years later when he is not playing anymore and based on the same achievement, CSK/YKH should be confered too. I think it's a burden to him and to Nicol David too.

Dato,
LCW's Datuk title is given by the Penang state government, and for your info, the representatives of the state government peoples are elected by the rakyat. And since the state government decides to give the Datuk title to LCW what is there to question anymore? The state government have the power to decide and give based on the choice of the peoples i.e. rakyat.
What apples to apples you compare? If you say like that, then tell me what is the basis Jalani and co get lands for winning the TC while our other players before Jalani and co got nothing when they too win the TC?

"Malaysians can be easily persuaded with simple words of comfort.
And it will remain merely words and false hope. "
Maybe, and it's us to change and make a the first step. Would you want to be first in the line?
I wish LCW to say yes for my quest.

I will say that out of 10 matches between Lin Dan and Lee Chong Wei in the coming few years, Lin Dan will still be victorious in more than 50% of these matches. Furthermore, as long as these matches are in the majors, I don't think Lin Dan will fret over the other losses.
And this week, Lin Dan is good enough to see off all potential challenges in home ground, especially eliminating Park Sung Hwan and Lee Chong Wei in the QF and SF respectively.
That was done without the help of the usual suspect like Chen Jin (who lost to Boonsak Ponsana surprisingly).

I am of the view that LCW should have another training stint in Korea with PSH. LM will have a part in this stint.
PSH gave LD a tough fight in the QF match of the 2009 LNCM. PSH is quite tough mentally.

In CM09, PSH was the underdog, really nothing to lose as he is not expected to win against LD especially in homesoil. PSH played well, focussed with a game plan to slow down the game...he played very well. Sure credit LM for that.
And as for strategizing/training in KOR with LM, sure but really time is slipping by, when London calls Datuk is 30 something, he may be irrelevant by then...if Datuk realizes it is difficult to win majors, and looking at the next waves of CHN MS players coming up and LD still lurking around conserving milleage in his legs, maybe Datuk wants to play in as many SS as possible, maintain WR1 and the RM45K quarterly bonus, win as many SS as possible (especially if LD is out of action) and importantly, the US$$$ cheque whether winner or runner-up to bulk up his retirement fund as he would need it to sayang, sayang, cinta, cinta his air waitress honey
