After rushing back from a friend's wedding to catch the MS final my observation:

G1: LCW was still kinda nervous. Still unsure if he could win this match, past losses haunting him, making him playing rather safely but at the same trying to see if he could try to win points. Many errors also. His smashes going out. *sigh*
G2: He changed his game, more aggressive, more variety. Built some confidence. It pays alot! (I was successfully glued to the tv screen!)
G3: He maintained his composure with LD making unforced errors and yeah, losing interest, kind of, (but I don't really care on that) and he won!!!! - this is all that matters today hehehe...

All that I see from this match : many techniques, great techniques by both players. Both managed to fool one another and both managed to win points by out-maneuvering one another... well I LOVE it. I don't regret telling me boss that I would be delayed to the office today cos I rather spend that 1-hour plus watching this battle of LCW vs LD. And I'm glad I don't miss it.

If LCW is smart he will give LD the final tommorrow. If LD wins, the Chineese team will most likely get overconfident and almost think the OG gold is "safe".. LCW can then focus all his effort to take LD by surprise in OG.

If he wins that will be a wake up call for LD and worry team china, so they will double the already intense effort to get LD in the shape of his life for OG...

Looks like he follows your 2nd option. The coming week of Mas Open will be very interesting indeed now..

LCW did well to suddenly step up his aggression to win the 2nd game and lead comfortably in the decider (about 3 points). Then, after a dubious line call Lin Dan seemed to get disinterested.

But I won't take away any credit, congratulations LCW!

LCW throws down the gauntlet for the year. Mind you, neither LCW nor LD looked their respective best during the Korea Open Final. Still, it's USD$75K for the win, a a whole lot more valuable mental confidence booster.

That book belongs to my late father's friend and he's still alive today but don't know how is the booklet I remember my dad translated to me pages after pages and taught how to read/use the diagram haha and that was donkey years ago

Datuk LCW starts the year 2012 with a smashing form after beating Lin dan in 3 sets to take home the Korea Open! Hope this kind of form can continue until the OG.. He certainly proves some of the people here wrong isn't it? LOL, i see some already given up hope on LCW every time LCW meets LD. But today, it's different story. And well, no ONE is perfect.. no ONE always win..Sure got player that will WIN or LOSE..

Nice that LCW picks up the gauntlet and manages to beat LD!! I am happy with the win. It is good for baddy, would have been a bit to strong domination with 100% china golds in Korea. Also looking at the games, the new racket seemed to provide some extra boom to LCWs smash. This year will be interesting indeed. I am not sure that LD will be serious in MO next week though.. Probably go "training-mode" now :-D
