I agree with you on this one. Titles are not everything. You need to prove yourself consistently.

...KKK & TBH's consistency (or lack of) and convincing us "that they are 1 of the world's top 3 pairs", well, that's the whole purpose of their "Going downhill?" and "On the comeback trail?" threads...

I think that's the toughest part of being an athlete.Consistency(In fact,they got to answer people).We couldnt expect the best from someone in every second.Even if we payed them.I doubt if anyone can be as perfect as this.
Nothing is wrong with boosting but i get sick to see people criticizing almost about everything

ya...just bcz theY start off well...the standard for them is high...pls compare chan/chew(former world number) title with koo/tan...chan/chew can win???

KKK/TBH had less SS points than Kido/Setiawan, Latif/Tazari, Jung/Lee, Boe/Mogensen and Wijaya/Gunawan ...

This is not really comparable with LCW who are #1 in World Ranking, SS-ranking points as well as clicnhing the final :-)

So one could actually argue that the real SS 2008 winners where Kido/Setiawan as they collected most SS points during the whole of the 2008 SS season..

Still, I would regard the win of the final as a MAJOR title also for KKK/TBH !!!

Yes, it's tough. It's never easy to be a top 3 pair. For the top 3 pairs, consistency is usually the key. I am not saying they will win everything in sight, but they project this aura of invincibility over lower-ranked pairs even on their off days. Over the past year, KKK/TBH has not projected this aura. Over the past month, maybe, but not the past year.

KKK/TBH is still a very good pair. They easily belong to the top 10 class, quite possibly top 5. But consistency is the key that separates top 3 from top 10. If for the next year, they contend well (win some, lose some) with Kido/Setiawan, Jung/Lee, Fu/Cai, JR/LP, and not lose too many matches against other pairs, then it will easier to argue that KKK/TBH is a top 3 pair.

Agree.If you score 100% in your first 3 exams and you have 10 more to go for the rest of the year, the only way is down.
