I also noticed that LCW took plenty of liquid during the match.

Fated ..Like Nets shots that hit the NET and falls onto Opponents court .

Like many Great NBA players in 90s but can't get Championship because played same ERA as Michael Jordan .. Still LCW and Lin D is same level except the Mental Strength of Lin D is superior than him .

Who knows behind the scene ? They might be good friends ? Call each other before the Finals at night to discuss how to put up a good show in front of TV and increase revenue ? Badminton in China is Commercialized . We won't know .

They already played unbelievable like Gods of Badminton during this match .
Lin D can lied on floor with unbelieving LCW can returned his NET Smash and Net Shots .

well if any one of these two, lin dan or LCW retires...MS will be dominated by CL. LD and LCW are ahead of the rest at their best, including CL. While the rest are a step behind CL. CL and the rest need to buck their game up else we would never get the chance to witness such great rivalries for a long time. One of the greatest rivalries in sports I reckon.

I think it might be time LCW calls it a day. The heartbreaking match showed even more than before that age TRULY DOES CATCH UP to a player's career.

I think LCW had done enough for the country. It is time for younger player to step up and play their role. Those young players should really learn from LCW. I still remembered before LCW was labelled as "jaguh kampung" (only can win in his hometown) but not anymore. Even without WC, he can still be proud of his achievement. He achieved many things that previous Malaysian players were unable to do. He is our national hero and will remain in the heart of Malaysian

its time for lcw to announce a retirement. nothing for him to prove anymore because he is already a national hero, win so many heart, unite the malaysians as noone can do it no matter how much money they spend on it (to make advertisements, songs etc etc, malaysian know this) but lcw can do it with only one of his match showed on tv. its time to focus on family especially with the presence of little Lee. the little Lee needs u more than bam need u. u have done so much, forget the world and olympic title. its time to serve to your family.

Suddenly I just remembered my 1st time watching LCW on tv which was during the Mas Open Final 2003 when he was defeated by Chen Long. At that time I had just started my secondary school and now I am in my final year of my uni. Time sure flies so fast and until now there is still no replacement of LCW. Sigh

why retire just because some fans think its time?
And who are these fans to listen to?
He should play according to his heart not his ears!
At 30 its still possible for another few years
and he only needs to whack a few players here and there and money keeps pouring in.
With LD skipping tournaments chances of him going into final hasn't been better
