Head Badminton Raquets

Has anyone played with Head's badminton raquets? I'm just curious to see what people think before I buy one. I haven't found any information about them online.

I have some models.. Can't say I have been too impressed with the Metallix ones I have..

Not played with a Head Racquet for many many years, they make quality tennis racquets but there not big players in Badminton.

This is because they do not officially launch until this summer 2007.

I will be doing some play testing on the pricier HEAD Metallix models in short order...

I'm still enjoying the older Wilson Ncode N1 models too much right now

Yes I have. I just bought the NanoPower 700 from my local sports store a few weeks ago. Have been playing with it for a bit lately. To me, one of the best intermediate racquets in the market right now.

Just bought a NanoPower 700 to try. very good impressions so far for an intermediate racket. However strings i find just from hitting the shuttle up at home that they are not responsive. but the tension is actually decent, maybe around 20 or 21 now. Will post more on tuesday when i get to play with it

I got it at Sportchek for $69.99 too... don't you think the racket cover.... wait, i'll call it a head cover.. don't you think it's junk? lol

Ahah, well..sorta. Its a bit big I must say. Everytime I go around to clubs and play with it, they think Im bringing a tennis racquet along or something. They never even heard of Head badminton before. Hey David, wanna make our own "Head Badminton Clan?" =D HBC!

I'm not a major fan of Head, I just wanted to try them out as their a new community, I guess you can make a Head fans thread or something, and sure I guess I'll be in it.

I have a Nano Power 700, and it is pretty intense. Very good on defense.

Metallix 10000: (grip size G3), very stable frame, strung it at 30 x 28 with Head Superpower 67. Very crisp (a bit like Yonex Nanospeed), headheavy like At700. Very easy stringing pattern, easy to string. I´m VERY impressed!

Now i don´t like to use Yonex-racquets anymore, except my Carbonex 8...

there was a head demo day a few months ago at a club i play at, the local head rep brought the entire range down. The raquets genrally got a thumbs down from every1, players ranging from high club level to very high county level used the raquets, and no one rated the raquets anywhere near the same quality as yonex.

I don´t know what you mean by not "anywhere near the same quality as yonex", but a lot depends on the strings when you demo a racquet. I doubt you would get the same result by making a blindtest.

For high tension there is no racquet in the yonex range of fragile frames to match the Metallix 8000 and 10000...
