    Hi all,

its time again for me to consult the pros of BC.
im wondering if there is a racket any of you guys know about that might be suitable to my playing style

    Beginner - Novice - Intermediate - Advance

I would probably be around novice.

I like playing deceptive net shots. i place my shuttles. i interchange between baseline lobs, drops and smashes. i can see empty spots on court during games and would play shots there. i would like to pack more punch into my smashes. i open up killing opportunities by out manouvering my opponent.
i kill when there is an opportunity (opponent plays a bad shot) either by smashing (or dropping).

what would be useful? a head light racket? or should i get a head heavy one? i am not that powerful but i can make up by placing my smashes.

    thanks everyone.

Hmm i suppose it depends on you..For me i can smash and control better will a head light racket compared to a head heavy racket.

The weight of the racket place an important role but it does not necessary mean that a specific weight will give you the upper hand. Thus, a head heavy racket give you more power to your smashes but it does not mean that a light head racket cant.

Note that a weight of a racket are the same eg 3UG4 it is just how the weight is distributed. The Yonex Muscle Power are a range of racket where it is even balance.Still if you are able to harness the full ability of the racket it will do you wonders.

I suggest that you try out all of the rackets and see what you are most comfortable with. A Yonex NS 9000 X is not the ultimate racket. I once beat someone by just using a clones version of it.

Have fun trying new things out you will be surprised what you will be able to discover.

Uhhhh, what kind of logic is this? A racket does not make the player, the player makes the player.

If you can place shots, there's no need for power. Keep using the racket you have.

Yes i do have a some pro shop around in Melbourne, however i get most of my equipment from Malaysia and Singapore.

    I am actually a Malaysian.

What racket are you look for? I have a racket for sale

Apacs Armorpower 800 a clone of Yonex Amourtech 800 , it is head heavy racket.

Sir Dink, Sorry about the confusion i actually meant that a technique can at times win over the rackets to some extend..

Disagree, superior technique will always win over equipment. :)

miss hits? not exactly i think. its like a vibration, shakes the whole racket. its quite uncomfotable. is this due to the racket?
