Castro Valley High school is in need of a coach again. The person has to be over 25 and has to be able to go to games in the middle of the day at like 2ish for away games and round 3 for home games

isolated incident. none of the complaining kids made the team anyhow.

having coached high school sports for over 16 years, 10 of them at castro valley, i can tell you this... kids & parents can only take over a team if you let them. period.

Of course people will not want to deal with a situation like that, it's like a self-fulling prophecy. Unfortunate.

i just talked to a friend on mine who was on the team last 3 yrs hes been there (hes a senior) he says that the practice schedule is decided by the coach but he/she has to negotiate with the volleyball coach for the gym. Also, the whole girls basketball thing won't affect badminton coaching.

    i recruited him for you.

it was a good thing you posted on here that you didn't have a coach, sam. your team should bake you a cake :D

your new coach posted here about washington high school problems of last year, and said he would not return for this year. i kept his name handy because there's always a high school somewhere who will need a badminton coach. we are a scarce breed.

it would be in the best interest of your badminton team to be cool and work hard. a major reason coaches don't stick around is due to the attitude of the students.

i will be showing your new coach some group drills this week which will keep everybody active and not standing around at practice waiting for court time. i will also try to come out to cvhs a couple times to help out.
