GUESS WHAT everyone? Not only will Howard Bach be coming but so will Tony Gunawan!! Mike just got a call from Eti Gunawan the other day with the great news! Actually Tony is not able to PLAY in the National Trials but Howard will be competing. Tony is EXTREMELY busy but he cares very much so he is coming to oversee his students from OCBC compete. You will get to see first hand how a World Champion will coach his students at competition!

But, everyone, the REAL treat is that Tony and Howard will be conducting TWO clinics in GGBC on Sunday, February 4th, 2007!!! YES YES! :D Right after the Trial finals on Sunday, Tony and Howard will be conducting:

Clinic 1 from 2:00pm to 3:30pm for Beginner / Intermediate Clinic 2 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm for Intermed / Advanced.

There is only space for 16 students for EACH clinic. Further details have not yet been confirmed, but will be soon, so STAY TUNED here at our GG forum and look for flyers we will post around town as well!

ALL of us are completely excited for this National Trial and the prospect of seeing these 2 great WORLD CHAMPIONS together in GGBC coaching some fine young potentials of our USA badminton future! If anyone is interested for our clinic please feel free to give us a call at GGBC 650 838 9318. It is upon first come first serve basis and payment must be made to secure your spot. More details will be posted here in short time! :D :D

    Finals On Sunday

YES, Sunday will be all day finals but finals will be finished at about 12 noon and the Clinics will start at 2:00 pm and GGBC will close at 6:00pm on Sunday as well. We will post the draws and times here on BC. But I do believe our Management has already posted business operation schedules here in our USA National Trials thread if you care to take a look! :D

ladies and gentlemen, this is a rare opportunity to take a clinic with the world champion and especially with the legend Tony Gunawan. 16 spaces willl definitely disappear quickly if not already gone...

but it would be really nice if GGBC can tell us how much the clinic costs.. ;)

    Cost Of Clinic

For Howard and Tony's clinic, we are still finalising prices. We want to find out how much they would like to charge but Tony is in Korea playing in the Finals I think, and it is hard for him to get on internet and phone to communicate with Mike so we are finalising their schedules and prices as well. Please keep in touch and we will keep you on the minute update as we get the news! Thank you for your patience.

    Regards, Sally

P.S. for me, I would take the clinic if I was there too darn it!! I don't know why such exciting things happen when I'm NOT in GGBC! I have to SING in SINGAPORE!!! I can hardly concentrate on my concert! (Oh I will not to worry). But just for my opinion, if anyone cares to listen, I would think a World Champion would charge World Champion price so you can sort of prepare for that la...but that is my own opinion! We will find out soon enough! Will let you know.

It's just like singers charging for concerts...;)

I'd encourage anybody to go (if they can afford it) - the chance may never come again...
