    hello everyone!
i started playing badminton in 2001, when I was 11. i've played u-17 state level (for greater mumbai), but our team lost in the first round :-D

Dreaming is good it gives you something to work towards.
If you work hard and don't give up maybe you'll get there.

Good luck and welcome to the forum, I hope you make lots of friends here. :)

Welcome DUDE, I hope you learn alot over here. And its not very difficult to get selected in the nationals. I have played two nationals in 1999 and 2000 respectively (didn;t perform very good though). I have also represented the north zone in Inter-university championships. Where r u from probably I can help you a bit.

    you must be good...!
    I'm from mumbai
how exactly does one get to play the nationals? does it go from district-state-nationals, with the top players qualifying for the next round?

Yes the hierarchy you are talking about is right, you play zone first then state and finally the nationals. Its not always that only the top players get selected. What if you meet Bhanu in your second round itself?

There is always a panel sitting and looking at your game to select the state and nationals team.
