Yonex Nanogy 98 New String (NBG98)

I never said that. I'm still testing...

Initial impressions:

I strung the racket too tight.

98 is a bit slippery...

Control is just average, so far...

Even at high tension, extremely repulsive but not sure it it's controllable...

Sound of the string is excellent, similar to BG66

So, how does this compare to my beloved BG-80? I've alway's used BG-80 and I want to try something new now, not that BG-80 is letting me down, it's an amazing string, just looking to try something new.

As of right now, I still prefer BG80 and MP over NBG98 and 95.

If you want a stiffer string, go with BG80, softer MP.

So what is it about the NBG 98 and 95 that you don't like? If it's durabilty, it shouldn't be a problem, I'm pretty sure i don't hit nearly as hard as I hear you do :P.

Durability is relatively good however, like all "Nano" products I have tried so far, from rackets to strings, they all feel "numb" relative to its peers.

Definitely not the same feel. I have more confidence, better control, better feel with BG80, MP and the other non-nano strings.

I feel this is personal perference as some may actually like the nano-numb feel.

Hmmm, I guess I'll never know until I try a nano string myself. So I'll try the NBG 95 when my string snaps.

I contacted Yonex and they said that the NBG98 will be released late 2007 to many countries. I think that the price will be the same as NBG95 or it could cost a bit more.
