　　陳宏：26日下午4點就到了，張軍我們幾個比賽輸的都回來了。

　　記者：以你的實力，韓國站比賽怎麼會首輪就被淘汰了呢？

　　陳宏：對我來說不都是一樣嗎，打到現在和打到最後還有什麼區別呢？勝負對我來說已經不重要，打到多少名也不重要了。

　　記者：韓國站確定是自己的告別賽了？

　　陳宏：嗯，應該說是國際賽的最後一站。我以後還會參加一些民間對抗賽，教教球，也可能參加一些省里的比賽，可能也包括全運會。我更期待享受羽毛球，對 于競爭和壓力下的羽毛球已經感到厭煩。我熱愛羽毛球，不管在地球的哪個角落我都離不開羽毛球。　　退役就差手續問題　　記者：這兩天在北京做些什麼呢？有 沒有訓練？

　　陳宏：我剛剛在力量房里出來，說得好笑點保持下身材吧。另外就是整理收拾一些東西。

　　記者：退役申請還沒有批下來？是不是要等到隊伍打完韓國站比賽才能確定？

　　陳宏：還沒有批下來，不過也就是差一些程序手續問題。

　　記者：將來有孩子還會不會讓他打羽毛球？

　　陳宏：尊重孩子的選擇，看他的興趣愛好。

　　記者：談談對你羽毛球生涯影響重要的幾個人？

　　陳宏：分階段吧，最早是父親對我影響比較大，然後我經歷了很多教練，他們對我的關心對我的幫助都很多。現在妻子的想法可能更會影響我，但不能說改變我。　　不排除去台灣的可能　　記者：談談李永波教練？

　　陳宏：都一樣，我說過我經歷的很多教練都對我很關心。

　　記者：以你現在的狀態保持下去堅持到2008北京奧運會並不難？張寧也堅持到30歲了。

　　陳宏：對于老隊員來說，外界很多因素都會影響，很難保証。年輕人參加奧運會可以鍛煉可以吸取經驗，對于一個老隊員來說，如果奧運會參加完就退役，你說 是不是把機會就浪費了，我也是從年輕過來的，我理解教練員這種想法，但我不認可這種想法。張寧打到30歲，但是她的對手有誰？男單呢，陶菲克、李崇偉、李 炫一、蓋德等強手就有十幾個，自己的隊員里也有五六個差不多同一水平的，對于30歲的運動員來說，體力、恢複、傷病多方面問題都需要克服。

　　記者：退役後會到福建任職嗎？

　　陳宏：感謝領導的重視和信任，給我這個崗位，解決了我的後顧之憂。但是如果讓我選擇的話我更願意做一些實際的事情，更能發揮我做運動員價值的東西，比如說當教練教教球，把我的經驗和技術傳給下一代。

　　記者：現在做了哪些相關准備？

　　陳宏：主要是先解決一些生活問題吧，畢竟我的妻子在台灣，如果我留在福建，肯定要解決兩地分居的問題。因為這些年一直在外面打比賽，很少有時間解決一些問題，我目前在福州還沒有一套自己的房子，所以需要面對的問題和困難很多。

　　記者：有沒有可能去台灣呢？你的妻子也有自己的工作。

　　陳宏：不排除這種可能，不管怎樣，我說過我期待新的生活，但新的生活肯定要面對很多種選擇，這是我下一步要考慮的。

Our reporter caught up with Chen in Beijing whom just came back from Korea Open. After the Malaysian’s pull out and Korea’s Open first round lost, he faces the questions from reporters for the first time, talking about the past and the future.

Reporter: When did you get back, and did you come back alone?
CH: I arrived on the 26th 4pm. Those of us that lost also came back.
R: With your skills, why did you lose in the first round in Korea Open?
CH: Win or lose, isn’t it the same to me? What is the difference between losing in the first round and reaching the final? Winning and losing is not important to me anymore. Ranking is also not important.
R: Korea is your last tournament?
CH: Yes, it should be my last international tournament. I will participate in some local tournaments, coaching, maybe some provincial tournaments. I am looking forward to enjoy badminton, I am tired of competition and stressful badminton. I love badminton, anywhere in the world, I can’t leave badminton. Retirement is just a matter of paperwork now.
R: What did you do these couple of days in Beijing? Still in training?
CH: I just came back from the gym, just to keep in shape and to gather some personal belongings.
R: Has the application to retire been approved yet? Are they waiting for the team to finish the KO?
CH: It hasn’t been approved yet, only some procedures left.
R: If you have children in the future, will you let them play badminton?
CH: I will respect their choices, and depends on their hobby.
R: Can you talk about the most important people in your badminton career?
CH: My dad has the most impact during the early days of my career. Then there are many coaches, their care have helped a lot. My wife’s thoughts has a lot of impact on me nowadays, but not to say it has changed me.

R: Can you talk about LYB?
CH: Same, I mentioned that I have many coaches that has been very caring.
R: Isn’t it not too hard to maintain your current condition until 2008 Olympics? Zhang Ling is 30 yrs old and has done the same.
CH: To a veteran, there is a lot of outside influence, it’s hard to guarantee. Youngster joining the Olympics for training and experience, but to a veteran, it’s a waste of opportunity to retire after the Olympics, don’t you think? I was young once, I understand coach’s thinking, but I don’t agree to it. Zhang Ling is playing at 30, but what competition does she have? In men singles there are Taufik, Gade, LCW, Lee Hyun II, and many other high level players. Not to mention there are 5 or 6 teammates there are around the same level. To a 30 year old athlete, stamina, recovery, and injury are things that have to be overcome.
R: Are you going to work in Fujian after retirement?
CH: Thanks of the management for entrusting me this position, thus resolving my worries. But if I can choose, I would do something more practical, something that can utilize my value as an athlete, such as being a coach, passing on my knowledge to the next generation.
R: Have you done anything related to that?
CH: Lately just solving my living problem, my wife is living in Taiwan. We will have to deal with separation if I stay in Fujian. I have been playing tournaments for a year, so I didn’t have much time to deal with such issues. I currently don’t have a house in Fujian, so there are many living problems still to be resolved.
R: Is it possible to go to Taiwan? Your wife has a job there too.
CH: I can’t rule out that possibility, no matter what, I look forward to my new life. But there will be a lot of choices that I will have to consider.
